About Me
I am a registered Occupational Therapist and graduated from the University of Toronto in 1977. I am a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
I have been actively working in the highly specialized field of driver rehabilitation for 14 years. I have trained throughout the United States and Canada to further my knowledge of driver assessment and rehabilitation. In 1999 I completed the examination process to become a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) as designated by the Association For Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED), an international organization.
I was on the Board of Directors of the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists from 2005 - 2007. I am an active member of the Ontario ADED chapter and have been on the executive committee for multiple years, presently acting as secretary.
My experience in the evaluation and treatment of the physical, psychological and cognitive abilities of clients who have disabilities is extensive and I have lectured and written various articles on vehicle modifications and driver assessment.
